After-hours on call shared with Peace River, Fairview and Manning
Manning Veterinary Clinic offers a wide range of basic surgical services, from spays and neuters to soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. We mostly handle routine medical and surgical cases, but may refer more complicated cases to specialists if we feel that it would be appropriate for the well-being of your pet. Your pet’s safety and comfort are incredibly important to us.
To optimize your pet’s safety, prior to surgery your pet is examined, and pre-surgical blood screens should be performed. Results from pre-surgical blood screens can be used to customize an anesthetic protocol appropriate for your pet.
Animals under anesthesia are fully monitored 100% of the time by a Registered Veterinary Technologist. While your pet is under anesthesia, multiple parameters are monitored and responded to accordingly. Our medical team is dedicated to keeping your pets safe throughout the duration of their surgical stay.
Our primary focus is on the safety and health of your pet. We understand that the decision to undergo surgery, no matter how minor, can often be difficult. Dr. McCracken and staff are happy to address any concerns you may have if you have any questions about your pet’s pre-op or post-op surgical care, please do not hesitate to call us.
We regularly perform many types of surgeries, including but not limited to:
– spays and neuters
– eye surgery
– foreign body removal
– caesarean sections
– dental surgery
– bladder surgery
- some orthopedic procedures
In addition, we utilize pain management protocols which aim to prevent pain before it starts and to manage it until your pet is healed. Our first priority is to keep your pet safe and comfortable during and after its procedure. For every pet who undergoes surgery in our clinic will go home with medication to control post-operative pain.
